    The Position

    We are looking for a full-time Head Veterinarian, wanting to work with a team that love their jobs and are passionate about world class patient care. The ideal candidate will be clinically proficient and organized with experience in small animal general practice and soft tissue surgery. Experienced surgeons would be preferred. The clinic has brand new, state-of-the-art facilities.
     
    This may be an ideal opportunity for a vet with existing leadership experience or a senior veterinarian looking for their next professional opportunity. We are looking for a vet with 5 or more years of experience, comfortable working autonomously or part of a team. A BVSc (or equivalent) is required with the ability to be registered to practice in Victoria.
     
    In this veterinary practice, you will be:
    • Responsible for the day to day running of the practice
    • Administrative tasks such as vet rosters, timesheets and reviews
    • Treating animals medically and surgically, and administering and prescribing drugs, analgesics, and general and local anaesthetics
    • Determining the presence and nature of abnormal conditions by physical examination, laboratory testing and through diagnostic imaging techniques including radiography and ultrasound
    • Performing surgery and dressing wounds (basic orthopaedic skills favorable but not essential)
    • Rendering obstetric services to animals
    • Advising clients on health, nutrition and feeding, hygiene, breeding and care of animals

    To be successful in the role, you must:

    About the role: Total Animal Supplies is seeking a Full-Time professional driver to operate medium rigid vehicles and trailers Monday to Friday along with assisting in the Warehouse.

    For the right candidate, there could the potential to grow with Total Animal Supplies and we welcome candidates from both transport and management backgrounds.  If you are successful through the process and offered the role, you will receive a sign on bonus of $1500.

    Your daily duties will involve but will not be limited to:
    • Load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary such as forklift
    • Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
    • Secure cargo for transport, using straps, gates, or covers.
    • Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
    • Picking, Packing & Dispatching of orders to a high standard and pick rate.
    • Assist with all stock control processes, including receiving inwards goods, cycle counts etc.
    • Work with the team to achieve stock integrity through stock replenishment, date expiry checks, stocktakes etc
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including daily housekeeping initiatives.
    • General warehouse duties as directed
    • Manual labour & repetitive lifting throughout your shift

    Our preferred candidate will:
    • Hold a current Medium Rigid Truck Licence (could upskill the right candidate to gain HR licence)
    • Have a minimum of 2 years Driving experience (desired)
    • Hold a Forklift Driver license (Highly Regarded) or motivated to obtain one
    • Have previous Multi-drop experience in a similar role within Victoria
    • Have the ability to complete daily vehicle inspections and driver’s documentation
    • Bring an understanding of regulations including COR.
    • Demonstrate a high level of safety both on the road and in the workplace.
    • Have the ability to use a Smart Device for our Freight Management system
    • Possess a strong work ethic coupled with a good attitude and proven reliability
