It is important that your bunny’s hutch always contains ample, clean bedding material.
- Straw is the most common bedding choice, as it is relatively inexpensive and highly absorbent.
- Wood shavings are absorbent and most varieties are compostable.
- A combination option, such as ‘Back 2 Nature’ litter and bedding is a great option. Some rabbit owners even choose to a do mixture, to maximize the time between cleaning (usually once a week for a household with one or two rabbits).
Your rabbit should always have enough bedding or material to burrow into and feel safe and secure.
