Dog Treats

Delectable Dog Cookies

What do you get for the pooch who has everything? Try your hand at making your own special dog cookies with the guidance of PETstock’s Littlest Chefs!

Select your flavour, we suggest:
- Mashed sweet potato Left over roast meat (ensuring fat is removed)
- Peanut butter
- Grated or stewed Apple

Using Dry Food:

  1. In a blender, add 2 cups of dry food and grind into a powder.
  2. Pour powder into a mixing bowl and add eggs and water.
  3. Add ingredients such as peanut butter, mashed sweet potato, leftover meat.
  4. Shape into individual "treats" or "cookies" and flatten the dough using the back of a spoon (the cookies will not flatten like standard "people cookies" do.)
  5. Place treats on a greased tray and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until crispy
  6. Store baked treats in the refrigerator and discard leftovers after 5-7 days.
  7. Homemade treats should not exceed 10% of your pet's total daily intake because heat alters the nutritional characteristics of the food.
  8. Do not freeze homemade treats.
